Otherwise probably best to skip out on this one and move onto Half Life 2. I would like a solution for the Desert Eagle if someone has one. That being said I'm going to resist the urge to run this game any further into the ground being it's a good game for what it offers but still a god awful mess of a good game. I've yet to find a solution to the Deseret Eagle bug aside from restarting and never using it underwater but if anyone has issues with the elevater glitch simlpy jump before it completly lowers. I can see this one being overlooked during testing but the elevetar locking you into the floor just screams rushed development. It would be easy to run into this being that you could only assume it was one of the few weapons that could be used under water like in the first game. According to what I've dug up on this issue, this is also a bug that happens at random. I soon discover that my Desert Eagle and only my Desert Eagle won't fire because I made the silly mistake of accidentally firing it under water. Oh wait they did because Valve wouldn't do such a half assed job i.e. How do you overlook that unless you skip play testing? It almost leads me to believe some shotty outside developer worked on this mess of a game. Upon doing some research it seems the develpoers placed the elevator platorfom too close to the ground. Seriously how does this game have a positive rating? On the first level alone I ran into a game breaking glitch where I got stuck in an eleveator.
